There is now a ward-wide Social Services Committee, which will focus on providing a cohesive plan and collaboration among social services organizations to provide and advocate GED and job placement, senior services, and drug treatment for residents in the 17th Ward.
The 17th Ward has a large number of social services, programs, and institutions in the area.
